  Our dogs can be affected by stress, just like us! Here are a few common causes of stress in dogs: 
  
  Changes to their environment or home
  Whether you're moving house, moving furniture around or doing a spot of decorating, dogs can be sensitive to changes in their home environment. This can also include having new visitors in the home too. For example, friends coming over to visit, or even the introduction of a new baby (furry, or otherwise)! 
  
  Being given too much attention
  Some dogs want all the attention they can get, but others really enjoy having their personal space. If your pet prefers a bit more alone time, they can become stressed if they're on the receiving end of too much attention. This can include being followed, excessively stroked or cuddled. All children should be closely monitored when spending time with dogs to make sure they don't go OTT. It's great to get them into the habit at an early age of respecting your pet's boundaries.  

  Holiday separation
