How does a cat get fleas?

Fleas can get into your home in a few different ways, but what they all have in common is that your pet must come into contact with fleas. They can hitch a ride with us, on our clothes or in our shoes. They can hop on your cat whilst they are outside exploring or another cat, pet or person can bring fleas into your home.
